Carol Williams

Content Director

Carol provides our writers and editors with the support, feedback and mentoring they need to produce their best work. She sometimes steps into the fray herself, filling in as a writer or editor on client projects, including blogs and white papers. Her most visible contribution to WG Content, however, is her work with our marketing department on client proposals, case studies, our brand guide and newly rebranded website.

A member of the WG Content team since 2017, Carol brings decades of experience from previous roles in advertising, direct mail and corporate communications. She is a proud graduate of Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, one of the country’s first HBCUs (historically Black universities and colleges). There, she earned a degree in English literature and minored in fine arts.

In 2024, Carol published her first book, “The Supernatural Files of CJ Delaney.” The action and adventure novel for middle graders is set in a fictional town that bears a strong resemblance to Yellow Springs, Ohio, where she grew up. In addition, Carol and Christy Pretzinger are co-authoring a book titled “Your Cultural Balance Sheet: Keys to Creating an Environment Where People Can Thrive,” which is set for publication in fall 2024.

Carol and her husband are empty nesters who are thrilled that their two adult children live nearby. Her efforts to add a dog to the nest have so far proven unsuccessful, but she holds out hope that her husband will one day see the light.

“Carol writes, edits and mentors with a keen intellect, incredible empathy and a healthy dose of wit. Kind, calm and endlessly creative, she brings out the best in the brands, content and people she works with.
